Olasco Films calls Okunnu, Austin Emmanuel ingrates over industry disputes
Veteran movie marketer Akeem Olatunji Balogun (Olasco Films) has accused actors Okunnu and Austin Emmanuel of being ingrates after they criticized him during interviews. Okunnu alleges Olasco pocketed all profits from a 2010 movie produced for him, while Austin Emmanuel accuses Olasco and Toymax Films of blacklisting him. Olasco counters that he gave Okunnu N2 million (then a significant sum) to produce the film, noting production costs were then N700,000-N1 million. He also claims he helped Austin Emmanuel's career by advertising his film. Olasco stated Okunnu 'threw away the walking stick' guiding him when blind, and Austin seeks to 'trend with my name.'
