Onedead in Kano thug clash after failed reconciliation

One person died following a violent clash between rival groups in Kano's Ja’en Unguwar Lalle area on Tuesday night. Security analyst Zagazola Makama reported the incident, citing police sources. The conflict erupted after a reconciliation meeting between the groups reportedly failed around 10:30 pm. Police responded to a distress call, engaged suspects, and arrested two ringleaders: 22-year-old Abubakar Abdullahi from Sabuwar Madina and 18-year-old Abubakar Bello (Babuji) from Unguwar Lalle. Three others sustained serious injuries and were hospitalized; one victim, Aliyu Abdullahi, 22, died from a neck injury. Police later arrested eight more suspects during raids, recovering a cutlass, sword, and charms. Investigations are ongoing.
