Onuachu scores on return to Trabzonspor after AFCON bronze

Super Eagles striker Paul Onuachu made an immediate impact on his return to Trabzonspor, scoring as a substitute in a 2-1 win over Kasımpaşa on Friday. Coming on in the 46th minute, Onuachu netted in the 51st minute for his 12th goal of the 2025-2026 season, assisted by Christ Inao Oulaï.

The goal came just after Onuachu helped Nigeria secure a bronze medal at the 2025 AFCON in Morocco, where he scored once for the Super Eagles. His return boosts Trabzonspor's Süper Lig campaign.

Kasımpaşa equalised in the 61st minute through Fousseni Diabaté, before Oleksandr Zubkov scored the winner for Trabzonspor in the 84th minute, set up by fellow Nigerian Anthony Nwakaeme.
