Opta's Supercomputer has run simulations for the 2026/27 Premier League season and gives defending champions Arsenal a 38.0% chance of retaining the title. Manchester City follows with a 20.5% probability, while Liverpool sits third at 9.2%. Manchester United (6.2%), Aston Villa (4.8%) and Chelsea (4.1%) round out the predicted top five.

Arsenal's campaign kicks off on Friday night when they host Coventry City at the Emirates Stadium. The Opta model, which has performed thousands of match simulations, bases its odds on current squad strength, recent form and historical performance.

For Nigerian fans who follow the EPL closely, these percentages offer a data-driven view of the title race, but the season is long and surprises are common. Injuries, transfers and managerial decisions can shift the balance dramatically over 38 games.

Will you let these statistical odds shape your expectations for the coming season, or will you continue to back your favorite club regardless of the numbers?
