Orban ties Salah as Turkish Super Lig joint top scorer with seven goals

Gift Orban scored and assisted as Amedspor defeated Beşiktaş 3-2 earlier today, moving him to seven goals and two assists in the 2026 Turkish Super Lig season. The strike puts Orban level with Mohamed Salah as joint league leaders, while compatriot Victor Osimhen trails with six goals and two assists for Galatasaray. Orban opened the scoring in the 13th minute and set up Amedspor’s second goal in the 22nd minute of the match.

The development highlights the tight race for the Super Lig golden boot among Nigerian internationals, with Orban’s recent form boosting his profile ahead of potential European interest. For fans tracking Nigerian talent abroad, Orban’s contribution now places him among the top scorers in a competitive European league, signaling continued growth in his career trajectory.

With the season still early, will Orban be able to sustain his scoring pace and challenge for the outright top scorer title, or will Osimhen and Salah mount a comeback in the coming months?
