Ajax striker Tolu Arokodare revealed that fellow Nigerian Victor Osimhen told him to show the jersey of injured teammate Kasper Dolberg to fans after scoring against NEC. Speaking after Ajax's 1-1 draw at Johan Cruijff ArenA on October 10, Arokodare said Osimhen advised, 'You should do something like this,' referring to displaying Dolberg's jersey in the stands.

Dolberg sustained a knee injury during Danish national team training on international break and underwent successful right knee surgery in Copenhagen on October 6. He's currently in rehabilitation. This isn't Osimhen's first such gesture—he previously showed Mauro Icardi's jersey to Galatasaray fans after the Argentine striker's injury.

The act highlights solidarity between players, especially notable as both Arokodare and Osimhen are Nigerians plying their trade in European leagues. Such visible support can boost morale for injured teammates during recovery and show fans the human side of professional sports beyond competition.

What does this gesture mean to you as a football fan—does seeing teammates show support for injured players strengthen your connection to the sport, or do you view such actions as merely ceremonial?
