π Osun Rolls Out AI Literacy Push Across Schools
Osun State has taken a bold step toward the future of learning with a new partnership to advance AI literacy across its school system. The state government, through both its Ministry of Education and Ministry of Science & Innovation, teamed up with the Brain Builders Youth Development Initiative (BBYDI) to integrate artificial intelligence education into classrooms statewide.
The initiative focuses on training teachers, developing culturally relevant AI lessons, and bringing digital skills to students in both urban and rural communities. Officials say this move aligns with the stateβs broader digital transformation agenda and the national curriculumβs shift toward technology-driven skills.
Plans include AI literacy modules in local languages, ensuring all learners have a chance to thrive in a technology-enabled world. Educators and parents alike see this as a timely effort to prepare Osunβs youth for future tech opportunities and bridge the digital divide.
