Pat Utomi vows to slash Nigeria's high governing costs if elected president
Political economist Prof. Pat Utomi said he would dramatically reduce the cost of governance if he were Nigeria's president, arguing it's unfair to run an expensive government while citizens face hardship. Speaking on Channels Television's Sunday Politics, Utomi also promised to use industrial policy to boost production, which he says Nigeria isn't doing enough to stimulate. He made these comments while outlining what he would do as the nation's leader.
