The integration, set to roll out within the current quarter (Q3 2026), will let customers buy airtime, buy data bundles, manage subscriptions and access LebaraPlay—Africa's first telecom-owned micro-drama platform—through secure payment channels. For Nigerians abroad, Payaza's multi-jurisdictional collection and payout system will enable seamless funding of airtime, data and other telecom services for family members back home.

The partnership reflects the growing convergence of fintech and telecom in Africa, aiming to boost financial inclusion, expand digital commerce and strengthen a resilient ecosystem for both local and diaspora users. Payaza recently earned an "A" credit-rating upgrade from GCR, Agusto and DataPro, underscoring its governance and risk-management strength, and already serves over 10,000 businesses with gateways, payouts, virtual accounts, collections and its AI-driven Shopaza platform.

Lebara's CEO Teniola Stuffman calls the deal a step toward its 'Telco Trinity' of reliable, affordable, customer-centric service, while Payaza's Executive Advisor Fawaz Abaniwonda says it turns customer obsession into tangible improvements for millions of Nigerians.

Will you use Lebara's new integrated payment options for airtime, data and diaspora remittances, or stick with your current methods?
