Paystack launches redesigned dashboard with AI Command Centre after 10 years
Paystack unveiled the first full rebuild of its merchant dashboard in a decade, introducing a redesigned interface, simplified navigation structure, mobile parity, and an AI-powered Command Centre. The Stripe-owned fintech's redesign addresses navigation complexity that developed as the product expanded over 10 years, with research showing merchants struggled to find functions within the growing interface.
The centerpiece is the AI Command Centre, a conversational interface using merchants' own transaction and operational data to answer business questions. Unlike traditional navigation requiring multiple pages, merchants can now ask questions and receive responses as text, tables, or charts. Paystack emphasized reliability, using a deterministic harness to reduce AI hallucinations and ensure responses stay tied to verified operational records.
Navigation has been restructured into two primary sections: Payments (housing operational workflows like transactions, customers, refunds) and Products (for newer modular offerings). The redesign also achieves full parity between mobile and web, allowing merchants to access all dashboard features from smartphones—a response to changing usage patterns.
With 82% of African organizations running AI pilots and the African AI market projected to reach $16.5 billion by 2030, this represents Paystack's strategic direction treating AI not as a feature but as fundamental to fintech's future. How will your business leverage these AI-powered insights to improve your payment operations?
