Paystack launches Small Business Program with up to ₦4M in merchant discounts
Paystack has launched a Small Business Program aimed at helping Nigerian merchants access tools, services, networks and funding beyond payment processing. The program’s first offering, the Small Business Bundle, provides up to ₦4 million in discounts, credits, free trials or subsidies from partners such as Bumpa, Simplebks, Africaworks, FezDelivery, Pressone, Shuttlers, Canva, Ijeworks, Wiicreate, Flowcart, Kindlybook, Gamp, Mercurie and Paystack itself. To qualify, a business must have an active Paystack account in Nigeria and have processed at least 10 transactions in the last 30 days. Eligible merchants can browse partner offers, complete verification and claim multiple perks, though each partner benefit can be used only once per merchant. Two further initiatives—the Small Business Launchpad (hands‑on product support) and the Small Business Grant (funding for expansion)—are planned but launch dates and funding amounts have not yet been disclosed. Paystack says the initiative builds on its recent acquisition of a microfinance bank licence and reflects the fact that MSMEs contribute 46.3% of Nigeria’s GDP, employ 87.9% of the workforce and represent 96.9% of businesses. For merchants looking to move beyond simple transactions to building systems and networks, the program offers a concrete pathway to access the tools and partnerships they need to grow.
