PDP extends form purchase deadline to May 7 for 2027 aspirants
PDP backed by FCT Minister Nyesom Wike extended form purchase deadline from May 4 to May 7, with final submission deadline at May 9. The three-day extension gives aspirants more time to purchase expression of interest and nomination forms for the 2027 general election.
According to PDP National Publicity Secretary Jungudo Mohammed, the costs remain: Presidential forms at N51 million, Governorship at N31 million, Senate at N7 million, House of Representatives at N4 million, and House of Assembly at N3 million. Female aspirants pay only N1 million for expression of interest form.
The party released its election timetable on April 22, with form prices significantly higher than previous cycles. Aspirants need to act by May 7 to avoid missing the nomination process. With these high barriers, who can realistically afford to run on the PDP ticket?
