Plateau pastor flies to Israel to urge Netanyahu on Christian killings
Rev. Ezekiel Dachomo, Regional Chairman of the Church of Christ in Nations for Barkin Ladi Local Government Area of Plateau State, landed in Israel on Friday, October 2, 2026. He is scheduled to address Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and other world leaders about the alleged Christian genocide in Plateau State and the wider Middle Belt region.
Dachomo says the trip aims to draw global attention to the persecution of Christians, rising insecurity, and terrorism in Nigeria. He plans to pray for Muslims killed in Zamfara, Kebbi, Sokoto and Katsina; for Christians; for his Biafran brothers; and for the release of Nnamdi Kanu from Sokoto prison. He accused Fulani militants of invading his village and killing three people in his jurisdiction, and criticized the Nigerian government for advocating a Palestinian two‑state solution while ignoring the plight of Christians in Nigeria.
In addition to meeting Netanyahu, Dachomo will join prayer warriors from the United States, Canada, France, Spain and other countries to present their nations’ cases. He described the visit as his first‑ever international Christian advocacy tour, saying that by God’s grace, a one‑on‑one meeting with Netanyahu would allow him to share the agony of Christians in Nigeria. What concrete actions could federal and state governments take to protect places of worship and reduce communal violence in the Middle Belt?
