Plateau United salvage point after defensive lapses in 2-2 Doma United draw

In an NPFL match, Plateau United fought back from a 2-0 deficit to secure a 2-2 draw against Doma United at Pantami Stadium on Wednesday, September 23, 2026. Adegbite Michael scored both goals for Doma United, while Gideon Monday and Paul Samson equalized for the Peace Boys.

Technical adviser Gbenga Ogunbote admitted his team was careless in conceding the early goals, stating they 'missed the chance of securing maximum points' despite valuing the hard-earned point. He emphasized that the squad remains 'a work in progress' with insufficient synergy between new and established players.

Ogunbote urged fans to continue supporting the team through this developmental phase, expressing confidence they'll improve in subsequent matches. The result highlights Plateau United's inconsistency as they integrate squad changes mid-season.

Will fan patience yield dividends as the team works to build cohesion, or should supporters temper expectations during this transitional period?
