The incident was reported on April 2, 2026, when a shop owner, Hamza Salihu Muhammad, lodged a complaint at the A Division Police Station, stating that unknown persons had broken into his shop located at Isiyaka Jibrin Garage and carted away several items. He added that all the stolen items, except the generator, had been recovered from the suspects. The Commissioner of Police, Sani-Omolori Aliyu, commended the Divisional Police Officer and his team for what he described as a breakthrough, urging officers to sustain intelligence-led policing in tackling crime.
