Police promotes 13 CPs to AIGs, 19 ACPs to DCPs

The Police Service Commission (PSC) promoted 13 Commissioners of Police (CPs) to Assistant Inspectors-General of Police (AIGs) and 19 Assistant Commissioners of Police (ACPs) to Deputy Commissioners of Police (DCPs). The promotions recognize merit and excellence in service. 35 Chief Superintendents of Police (CSPs) were also elevated to ACPs. The Commission's Chairman, DIG Hashimu Salihu Argungu, emphasized that promotions are based on performance in examinations and interviews. Officers must uphold their new ranks through commitment to policing and national security. The list includes Emmanuel Ado Christopher (former CP, Yobe State), Dantawaye Miller (former CP, FCT), and others. The Commission remains committed to transparency and global best practices in promotions.
