PRP Chairman warns Nigeria could collapse if Tinubu wins second term
Hakeem Baba-Ahmed, National Chairman of the Peoples Redemption Party (PRP), has warned that Nigeria faces serious instability if President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is re-elected in 2027. Speaking in an interview, Baba-Ahmed argued the country is experiencing unprecedented challenges including rising insecurity, widespread poverty, and deepening social fragmentation.
According to the PRP leader, the current administration appears disconnected from citizens' daily struggles, with young people losing hope due to limited opportunities. He claimed these conditions have deepened mistrust within society, with communities becoming increasingly divided across different regions.
'The country is more divided now than it has ever been,' Baba-Ahmed stated. 'Another term for the same administration may just put an end to this country.' He dismissed suggestions that opposition to the President is politically motivated, insisting instead that public dissatisfaction stems from real-life experiences of hardship. The warning comes amid ongoing debates about Nigeria's security challenges and economic conditions ahead of the 2027 elections.
