Rema denies Davido feud rumours, says he respects industry OGs
Rema dismissed rumours of a feud with Davido in a video interview with Ebro Darden and Laura Stylez that circulated on social media and was sighted by DAILY POST on September 22, 2026. The ‘Calm Down’ hitmaker said the alleged conflict was just rumour, stressing that from day one he has never had problems with any artiste and that he holds deep respect for the industry’s OGs.
The clarification comes after weeks of online speculation about a possible rift between two of Nigeria’s biggest Afrobeats stars, which had influenced fan discussions and social media narratives. By addressing the rumours directly, Rema seeks to refocus attention on music rather than personal conflict, a move that could help reduce unnecessary division within the Afrobeats community.
Rema reiterated that his goal is to make good music and avoid trouble, encouraging fans to judge artistes by their work rather than unverified gossip. With both artistes continuing to release hits, listeners can decide whether to let the rumours affect their enjoyment or to simply enjoy the songs they produce.
