Rio Ferdinand backs Man Utd's Carrick amid pressure after Champions League loss

According to SportEPL, Rio Ferdinand stated that Manchester United manager Michael Carrick is under pressure following the club's 2-0 Champions League defeat to Atletico Madrid on Tuesday. Ferdinand made the comments on his YouTube channel after the loss, which contributed to United sitting 13th in the Premier League after two recent losses.

The United legend acknowledged that pressure is normal for a Manchester United manager but urged supporters to let Carrick "show us that he can swim against the tide" after his strong performance last season. "Let him have a go and let him work at it, let him see if he can turn this around," Ferdinand said.

For Nigerian football fans who closely follow the EPL, this highlights the immediate scrutiny faced by Man Utd's managerial position. While Ferdinand expressed confidence in Carrick's ability to improve, the pressure reflects the high expectations at Old Trafford where results directly impact fan engagement and team morale.

Will you give Carrick more time to implement his strategy and turn results around, or do you believe the pressure warrants a quicker change in leadership to salvage the season?
