Recent media reports highlight that many public primary and secondary schools across Port Harcourt and surrounding areas are overcrowded and under-resourced, with classrooms meant for 50 learners packed with more than 120 students, and some pupils forced to sit on bare floors due to a chronic shortage of desks and learning materials.
