Rivers United needs Ikorodu City slip to win NPFL title on final day

Rivers United needs Ikorodu City to avoid defeat against Rangers Sunday to keep NPFL title hopes alive. According to Taiwo Adesanya, Rivers United coach Finidi George is counting on Ikorodu City getting at least a draw in their match at Mobolaji Johnson Arena in Lagos.

The Pride of Rivers will host Katsina United in Port Harcourt on the same day and must secure three points. Rivers United enters the final matchday needing both their win and a favorable outcome elsewhere to claim the league title.

"Ikorodu City also want a win which is a plus for us as they also have something to play for," Finidi told the club's media. "We have to win our own game too and hopefully the result will favor us." Fans should follow both matches as the NPFL title will be decided today.
