Sabalenka, Rybakina Set Miami Showdown After Quarterfinal Wins
World number one Aryna Sabalenka and world number two Elena Rybakina advanced to a blockbuster Miami Open women's semi-final on March 25, setting up a rematch of their Australian Open final. Sabalenka, defending champion, beat American Hailey Baptiste 6-4, 6-4 in the quarterfinals at Hard Rock Stadium. Rybakina overcame fifth-seeded American Jessica Pegula 2-6, 6-3, 6-4, marking her fifth consecutive victory over Pegula. They will face each other on March 26 for a place in the final. Sabalenka seeks the 'Sunshine Double' of Indian Wells and Miami titles after avenging her only 2026 loss to Rybakina at Indian Wells last month. Rybakina had won their Australian Open final in January. In the men's draw, 28th-seeded Arthur Fils of France saved four match points to beat 22nd-seeded Tommy Paul of the USA 6-7 (3/7), 7-6 (7/4), 7-6 (8/6) in a nearly three-hour battle, reaching his first ATP Masters 1000 semi-final.
