Skyway Aviation Handling Company (SAHCO) Plc announced plans to expand into the United Arab Emirates and other African markets, aiming to evolve from a domestic aviation services provider into a regional aviation and logistics operator. The disclosure came at the firm's 16th Annual General Meeting, where Chairman Dr. Taiwo Afolabi outlined a strategy to deepen its international footprint, diversify revenue streams, and capture growth in the global aviation industry.

SAHCO's 2025 financials show revenue of N44.46 billion—a 53.6% rise from N28.94 billion in 2024—profit before tax of N12.01 billion, profit after tax of N9.74 billion, and earnings per share of N7.20. Shareholders' equity rose to N62.21 billion and total assets to N82.69 billion, underpinned by investments in ground support equipment, workforce training, and infrastructure.

The company remains the only aviation ground‑handling firm with operations at every commercial airport in Nigeria, giving it a nationwide base for expansion.

While the strong financial performance provides capital for overseas moves, success will hinge on navigating varied regulatory climates, forging strategic partnerships, and competing with entrenched international handlers.

Given SAHCO's solid fundamentals and regional ambitions, will you watch its progress for potential investment or consider how its growth might affect opportunities in Africa's aviation logistics sector?
