Samsung released a June 2026 One UI 8.5 update (~900MB) for Galaxy S25, Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7, adding three Galaxy AI features: Prioritize Notifications (reorders alerts by importance, on-device, language‑matched), Summarize Notifications (condenses group chats/email threads), and File Summaries (AI summaries of PDFs, TXT and voice recordings in My Files). The update began rolling out June 11 in South Korea, with North America, Europe and India to follow within a week.

Despite this, several flagship One UI 8.5 features shown on the Galaxy S26 remain absent: Now Nudge (context‑aware keyboard suggestions), 24MP camera mode, video softening, Horizon Lock (Super Steady video stabilization), and the fingerprint accuracy booster (still missing on S25, S25+ and S25 Ultra, though it arrived on the S25 FE earlier). Samsung has given no public explanation; a firmware leak suggests Now Nudge may come with One UI 9.

For Nigerian users, this means your S25 series phone will not gain the latest AI productivity tools or camera versatility that could affect daily use and resale value. Install the June update now via Settings > Software update to get the notification and file AI features. If you need Now Nudge, 24MP mode, video softening or Horizon Lock, watch for the One UI 9 beta (expected stable around August–September 2026) or consider a Galaxy S26. S23 owners should note Quick Share with Apple devices will not arrive; QR‑based Quick Share remains a workaround.
