Şaş: Juventus to sign Osimhen after Lookman-style move
Galatasaray legend Hasan Şaş has predicted Victor Osimhen will leave the club this summer, with Juventus potentially following Atlético Madrid's strategy to sign the Nigerian striker. Şaş, speaking on the sporON YouTube channel, stated Osimhen's situation mirrors Ademola Lookman's recent transfer to Atlético Madrid, where the Spanish club covered all financial requirements despite initial interest from Turkish teams. Osimhen, who moved to Galatasaray permanently in the summer, has scored 52 goals and provided 11 assists in 63 matches across all competitions. His performance has sparked talks about a potential reunion with former manager Luciano Spalletti in Turin. Şaş added that Osimhen's contract is only valid for one more year, creating uncertainty about his future. He suggested Galatasaray might act quickly to extend Mauro Icardi's contract if Osimhen departs. The ex-Galatasaray player emphasized that European clubs prioritize securing top talent regardless of cost, stating: 'They’ll take him and leave. As long as a European team needs a player, they won’t care about the cost. If Osimhen beats Juventus, they’ll come by themselves, take him, and go.'
