Security and Crime Management Professional Fidel Iduh says Nigeria needs more US airstrikes to tackle insecurity. Iduh made this statement on Saturday during an interview on Arise Television, reacting to recent threats by US President Donald Trump to launch more military strikes if killings of Christians continue in Nigeria. 'The actualisation of President Trump's threat represents a positive development for the national security of Nigeria,' Iduh said. 'It's unfortunate that the situation has escalated to the point where another country must intervene due to the high level of insecurity. If the longstanding cries of citizens regarding banditry and insecurity can only be addressed by external forces, then so be it.' He added that the US Christmas Day airstrike sent a clear message to Lakurawa and ISIS insurgents operating in the area. The expert's statement comes amid escalating banditry and insurgency across multiple Nigerian states, with citizens continuing to face security challenges despite military operations. What do you think—should Nigeria accept foreign military intervention to end insecurity, or is this a sign that domestic security infrastructure needs complete overhaul?
