Senate President Godswill Akpabio led principal officers on Eid-el-Kabir homage to President Tinubu in Lagos Thursday, reaffirming National Assembly's support for economic and security reforms. Akpabio praised Tinubu's key policies including fuel subsidy removal, exchange rate harmonization, and tax reforms as "difficult but necessary decisions" aimed at restoring fiscal discipline and stimulating growth.

On security, Akpabio acknowledged improvements in counter-insurgency but noted attacks on soft targets remain a concern. The legislature is considering measures to strengthen policing, including increased support for the Police Trust Fund and discussions on establishing a regulated state police system.

The visit comes amid continued implementation of economic reforms officials say are designed for sustainable growth despite current challenges. With fuel at ₦617/liter and exchange rate pressures, how are these reforms affecting your daily expenses and business operations?
