Shooting Stars lose 1-0 to Warri Wolves; Yusuf cites poor finishing

Shooting Stars suffered a 1-0 loss to Warri Wolves in Ozoro on Sunday, with Othuke Egbo scoring the only goal in the seventh minute. Technical adviser Salisu Yusuf said the defeat came down to poor finishing, noting his side had opportunities but failed to convert them into goals. “We have the opportunity but we couldn’t score,” Yusuf told 3SCFANTV. Warri Wolves defended their lead for the rest of the match to secure the victory.

The result leaves Shooting Stars with fewer points in the NPFL standings as they prepare for their next league encounter against Enyimba in Aba. Fans and analysts will be watching to see if the team can improve its attacking efficiency after Yusuf’s promise to work on finishing ahead of the upcoming fixture.

Yusuf assured that the squad will address its lapses and believes the team will come good in future matches. Will Shooting Stars’ improved finishing turn their season around in the clash with Enyimba?
