Sowore dismisses 2027 opposition coalition as power-hungry interest groups
Sowore tells Channels TV that Nigeria's supposed 2027 opposition coalition isn't a genuine political alliance but merely interest groups hunting for power. Speaking on 'The Morning Brief' today, he dismissed the grouping as comprising the same politicians who brought Nigeria to its current state.
He argues that even the celebrated 2015 coalition against PDP succeeded not because of party mechanics but because Nigerians were simply tired of the ruling party and wanted change. Sowore challenges anyone questioning his absence from ADC or the opposition coalition by saying these are just power-seeking individuals, not principled alliances.
The activist warns that recycled politicians offering new promises won't deliver different results. For voters, this means scrutinizing whether 2027 candidates represent genuine new direction or just familiar faces repackaged. With elections over a year away, the real test will be whether Nigerians seek substantive change or accept another round of elite musical chairs.
