Spain PM: Iran's new leader more bloodthirsty than Khamenei
Spain's Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez accused Iran's new supreme leader Mojtaba Khamenei of being equally dictatorial and even more bloodthirsty than his father Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. Sanchez also criticized Israel's intensified military operations against Hezbollah in Lebanon, stating they follow a similar trajectory to Israel's actions in Gaza. He declared the US-Israeli war on Iran is an 'absolute disaster' causing global oil price increases. Sanchez noted Iran's new leader is 'equally dictatorial and even more bloodthirsty' than his predecessor, who was killed in US-Israeli strikes at the conflict's start. The conflict has resulted in tens of thousands of Palestinian deaths and millions displaced.
