Sponsored content: Nigerian Tulip International Colleges (NTIC) awarded scholarships to 36 young mathematicians from primary and junior secondary schools on Tuesday, March 31, 2026. The scholarships stem from the 23rd Annual National Mathematics Competition, organized with the National Mathematical Centre. Approximately 10,000 students nationwide participated in the first round, with 83 qualifying for the second round held in Abuja and Kano between March 29-31.

Scholarship packages vary: some cover 50-100% tuition, while full scholarships include tuition, accommodation, and feeding. NTIC states that about 100 students currently benefit from this fully funded scheme, representing an annual investment exceeding ₦1 billion. Cash prizes and rewards were also given to the top 10 students and their teachers, while the top three schools from northern and southern zones received desktop computers, printers, and tablets.

NTIC Managing Director Dr. Fevzullah Bilgin stated the initiative aims to nurture future innovators and contribute to Nigeria’s human capital development. ANMC Coordinator Mr. Erdal Yilmaz emphasized the competition's focus on removing "phobia for mathematics" from young students.

Registration details for future competition cycles were not specified in the release. Students and parents interested in mathematics enrichment programs may contact NTIC or the National Mathematical Centre directly for eligibility and application information.
