Spurs Beat Knicks 115-111, Lead Series 2-1
San Antonio Spurs cut New York Knicks' lead to 2-1 in NBA Finals with 115-111 victory Monday at Madison Square Garden. French star Victor Wembanyama dominated with 32 points, 8 rebounds, 6 assists, 3 blocks and 2 steals, saying 'We're not even halfway. The hardest is yet to come.'
Knicks' 13-game win streak ended as President Trump watched from arena and was booed when shown on video screen. Stephon Castle added 23 points for Spurs while Jalen Brunson led Knicks with 32 points. Knicks shot poorly at 40-of-88 from floor (45.5%), including only 13-of-37 from three-point range.
Game 4 continues in New York Wednesday. No NBA team has ever won playoff series after losing first three games. 'At home it really feels like playing six against five,' Wembanyama said of the raucous Garden crowd. 'In here it feels like playing five against six, but it really shows what teams are made of.'
