Spyro: Extravagant parties, South African women cause colleagues' bankruptcy
Nigerian singer Spyro warned that some of his colleagues have gone bankrupt after blowing their early earnings on extravagant parties and trips to South Africa, particularly spending on foreign women. Speaking midway through his performance at a weekend event, Spyro described such spending on women and frivolities as wasted investments, urging male fans to save and invest instead of pursuing short‑term pleasures. He said, "If you are here and you are spending money on women I think you are wasting your time. I not saying you should not spend on your woman but use your head." Spyro added that he knows colleagues who made their first bag and then blew it off on parties and South Africa trips, while he chose a different path, which is why he remains financially stable. He claimed that after becoming rich and famous, many Instagram models reached out offering to sponsor holidays in foreign cities, but he rejected those offers to focus on music and investment. Spyro boasted that he would not go broke even if he stopped doing music, crediting his fiancée for keeping him away from temptations. The singer’s remarks serve as a cautionary tale about financial discipline in the entertainment industry.
