StarTimes Nigeria announced comprehensive coverage of all 104 matches in the 2026 FIFA World Cup, despite Nigeria failing to qualify for the tournament. The pay-TV broadcaster will provide live coverage of every match from June 11 to July 19 across USA, Canada and Mexico.

The company's Marketing Director, Oke Umurhohwo, confirmed: "We are one of the official broadcasters of the FIFA World Cup 2026 and all 104 matches will be live on StarTimes." Coverage includes dedicated tournament channels plus pre-match analysis, halftime discussions and post-match reviews.

Subscribers can access matches through satellite TV, terrestrial platforms and the StarTimes ON mobile app. The broadcaster is offering a ₦50 million promotional package including a ₦10 million grand prize in a live draw on the final day. Both new and existing subscribers qualify, with additional prizes including solar systems and TV sets.

StarTimes will also organize viewing events in selected cities during knockout rounds, semi-finals and final, while reducing decoder and accessory prices ahead of the tournament. With no Nigerian team to rally behind, attention is expected to shift to world stars and traditional powerhouses as fans seek alternative allegiances.
