Chelle highlighted the team's intensive preparation, noting they completed two three-hour training sessions before the match. 'This game was good. The players worked a lot during the two days—two training sessions of three hours each—so they worked a lot and deserved this victory,' the coach said.
The Malian coach also showed respect for his opponents, calling Zimbabwe 'a good team with strong players' and congratulating them on their performance. With this victory, Nigeria advances to the Unity Cup final, with the opponent and date yet to be announced.
