Nigerian Super Eagles midfielder Raphael Onyedika helped Club Brugge KV secure the 2025/26 Belgian Pro League title on Thursday night after a 2-2 draw away to K.V. Mechelen. The result confirmed Brugge as champions for the 20th time, with the Nigerian playing a major role throughout the campaign despite being an unused substitute on the final matchday.

The 25-year-old, who joined Brugge in 2022, has now won six major trophies in his senior career – four with Brugge including two league titles, one Belgian Cup, and one Belgian Super Cup. This season, Onyedika made 30 league appearances with 90% passing accuracy and helped the team reach the Champions League knockout stages.

Onyedika's performances haven't gone unnoticed, with reports suggesting he rejected a contract extension offer from Brugge. Several European clubs including Aston Villa and West Ham are monitoring his situation ahead of the summer transfer window. With his growing reputation across Europe and consistent performances at club level, Onyedika continues to establish himself as one of Nigeria's most valuable exports in European football.
