Nigeria's Super Eagles will depart Fès for Marrakech on Thursday ahead of their AFCON 2025 quarter-final clash scheduled for Saturday. The three-time champions secured their place in the last eight after demolishing Mozambique 4-0 in their Round of 16 match on Monday night at Complexe Sportif de Fès.

The quarter-final fixture against either Democratic Republic of Congo or Algeria kicks off at Marrakesh Stadium on Saturday at 5:00 pm Nigerian time. The team has been training in Fès since playing all their group games and Round of 16 encounter at the same venue. Some team members already began the six-hour bus journey to Marrakesh on Tuesday.

AFCON 2025 marks Nigeria's quest for their fourth continental title. The Super Eagles last won the tournament in 2013. With the tournament format featuring just eight teams in the knockout stage, every match is effectively a semi-final pressure cooker. Morocco's infrastructure provides a familiar North African environment for what promises to be a challenging encounter against either a Congolese side that finished runner-up in Group A or an Algerian team seeking to add to their 1990 and 2019 titles.
