Rinsola Babajide has declared the Super Falcons ready for their WAFCON 2026 quarter‑final showdown against Cameroon’s Indomitable Lionesses. The match will take place at Larbi Zaouli Stadium in Casablanca on Sunday, August 10, 2026, with the winner earning a berth at the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup. Nigeria finished second in Group C after a slow start, while Cameroon topped Group D and remains unbeaten in the tournament.

Babajide told the Super Falcons Show that the team knows Cameroon’s strengths from previous encounters, is prepared, and focused on securing the World Cup ticket. "We are very excited to play Cameroon. We have played against them a couple of times before, we know their strengths, we are prepared, and ready to face them," she said. She added that the squad understands why they are at the tournament and is determined to win.

For Nigerian fans, the game represents more than a place in the last four; a victory would defend the continent’s title and keep Nigeria’s hopes alive for a sixth Women’s World Cup appearance. The Super Falcons have won the WAFCON trophy a record eleven times, and a win here would add to that legacy while also providing a direct path to the global stage.

Will you be tuning in to see if the Super Falcons can extend their dominance and punch their World Cup ticket, or will you rely on match highlights to see how they fare against a Cameroon side that has yet to lose?
