The incident was disclosed in a post shared on X on Sunday by security analyst, Bakatsine. According to the post, the attackers invaded the community in the evening and began to shoot sporadically at residents. “This evening, bandits attacked Gurbi community in Kankara LGA of Katsina State, killing more than 10 people and injuring several others. Witnesses say the bandits opened fire on fleeing civilians, while security forces arrived only after significant casualties were recorded. “How many more lives must be lost before timely protection is guaranteed?,” Bakatsine wrote.
