Tambuwal outlines ADC priorities if party forms government in 2027
Former Sokoto State Governor and ADC chieftain Senator Aminu Waziri Tambuwal has outlined key priorities Nigerians should expect if his party forms the government in 2027. Speaking after the party's recent state congress, Tambuwal emphasized security as the top priority, asserting that meaningful development cannot occur without addressing insecurity through strategic, technological and community-based measures.
The ADC leader also outlined economic reforms aimed at reducing hardship and tackling youth unemployment through job creation, support for SMEs and economic diversification. 'Education and agriculture will form critical pillars,' Tambuwal stated, with sustained investment to drive long-term development and enhance food security. Reliable power supply was identified as essential for industrial growth and productivity.
With the 2027 elections approaching, Tambuwal addressed internal party dynamics, noting that leadership competition is inevitable but emphasizing commitment to democratic principles. The overarching goal, he stressed, would be building a responsive, accountable government focused on improving Nigerians' daily lives.
