Teqsus Studios Offers BOGO King Kosoko Tickets for Nigeria's Independence Day

Teqsus Studios announced a buy-one-get-one-free ticket offer for King Kosoko: The Battle For Lagos at participating cinemas nationwide on Independence Day, Thursday, October 1, 2026. The historical epic, directed by Adebayo Tijani and starring Femi Adebayo as Oba Kosoko, has grossed over ₦65 million at the Nigerian box office since its August 28 release via FilmOne Entertainment. Presented in Yoruba with English subtitles, the film recounts Oba Kosoko’s resistance to British imperial power, including the 1851 Bombardment of Lagos (Salt Water War).

Executive producer Ayo Ajayi framed the Independence Day offer as a natural extension of the film’s theme: 'Independence Day is exactly what this film is about—a people determined to govern themselves.' Ajayi emphasized that Nigerians can celebrate national sovereignty by engaging with this homegrown story of leadership and defiance against colonial rule.

Participating venues comprise all Filmhouse Cinemas outlets, Silverbird SEC, Silverbird Galleria, and Silverbird Kaduna (ticket-only), alongside selected independent cinemas across Nigeria. Visit www.teqsusstudios.com or follow @kingkosokomovie on Instagram for showtimes and redemption details. With ₦65 million+ already earned, will you seize this BOGO opportunity to experience King Kosoko tomorrow as part of your Independence Day observances, or allocate your holiday time elsewhere?
