Terem Moffi nears Hamburg SV transfer as Bundesliga move looms

Terem Moffi, the 27-year-old Nigerian striker, is closing in on a transfer to Bundesliga club Hamburg SV, according to DAILY POST citing German newspaper Hamburger Abendblatt. The move is expected to be finalised in the next few days after Moffi was declared surplus to requirements by his current French club, OGC Nice. He spent the second half of last season on loan with Portuguese champions FC Porto, where he recorded one goal and one assist in nine league appearances. Moffi initially joined Nice on loan from Lorient in January 2023, and the transfer was made permanent in the summer of 2023.

A Bundesliga move would give Moffi his first experience in Germany’s top flight after limited playing time at Nice and a brief loan spell at Porto. Regular minutes in a competitive league could help revive his form and strengthen his case for a recall to the Super Eagles.
