Texas woman charged with capital murder after shooting her two sons dead

Colleen Nichole Lemmon, 42, has been charged with two counts of capital murder after allegedly shooting her two sons, 21-year-old Christopher Scott Pitre and his 15-year-old brother, inside their home on Big Sky Drive in Waxahachie, Texas, early Thursday morning. Deputies responded to an unknown emergency call shortly before 4:15 a.m. and found both boys with gunshot wounds; Christopher was pronounced dead at the scene, while his younger brother died later in hospital. Lemmon was also injured at the residence, taken to hospital for treatment, and then arrested. She is being held on a $2.5 million bond. Authorities have not disclosed a motive, and the Ellis County Sheriff's Office says investigations are ongoing.
