Tinubu appoints Ade-John as Special Assistant on Transportation effective Aug 27
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu appointed Prince Adetokunbo Ademola Ade-John as Senior Special Assistant on Transportation and Mobility, effective August 27, 2026, according to a statement released September 2. In this role, Ade-John is expected to support the president in improving coordination and ensuring the effective implementation of policies across major transportation institutions.
Ade-John previously served as Special Assistant to the Minister of Tourism and is described as a grassroots politician and APC Apex Youth Leader across the globe. His appointment is subject to the terms and conditions of service stipulated under the Certain Political, Public and Judicial Office Holders (Salaries and Allowances, etc.) (Amendment) Act, 2008.
Tinubu charged Ade-John to draw on his experience to contribute to the advancement of the Federal Government’s transportation and mobility agenda. Considering his background in grassroots politics and tourism, how might Ade-John’s perspective shape Nigeria’s transport policies to better serve local communities and improve sector coordination?
