President Bola Tinubu arrived at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi, Kenya, at approximately 00:18 a.m. local time on Monday, May 12, to participate in the Africa Forward Summit co-hosted by Kenyan President William Ruto and French President Emmanuel Macron. He was received by Kenyan Cabinet Secretary for Foreign and Diaspora Affairs Musalia Mudavadi, Kenya's High Commissioner to Nigeria Isaac Parashina, senior Kenyan officials, and Nigeria's diplomatic mission in Kenya.
The summit brings together African Heads of State, policymakers, business leaders, and development partners to discuss economic transformation, trade expansion, digital innovation, infrastructure development, climate resilience, and collective prosperity. Tinubu's attendance underscores Nigeria's commitment to African unity and regional cooperation under the Renewed Hope Agenda.
Accompanying Tinubu are Ministers of Foreign Affairs (Bianca Ojukwu), Agriculture (Abubakar Kyari), Marine and Blue Economy (Adegboyega Oyetola), Environment (Balarabe Lawal), Industry Trade and Investment (Jumoke Oduwole), and Communications Innovation and Digital Economy (Bosun Tijani), along with officials from NIPCO, NCCC, and Nigeria's Ambassador to France. The summit provides a platform for Nigeria to strengthen diplomatic and economic ties across Africa while advancing continental solutions to shared challenges.
How might Nigeria's renewed focus on African-led infrastructure and digital innovation partnerships at this summit create new opportunities for Nigerian businesses and professionals seeking regional expansion?
