Tinubu inaugurates APC 2027 campaign council, appoints Abdulaziz Yari as DG
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has constituted the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council for the January 2027 election, naming former Zamfara State governor Abdulaziz Yari as its Director-General. Deputy director-generals are Senate President Godswill Akpabio (south), Speaker Tajudeen Abbas (south), and Yobe Governor Mai Mala Buni (north), working with Senator Opeyemi Bamidele and Deputy Senate President Jibril Barau. Adams Oshiomhole leads mobilisation, Femi Gbajabiamila handles administration, and James Faleke oversees election planning, coordination and monitoring, supported by zonal directors across the six geopolitical zones.
For media and strategic communication, Information Minister Mohammed Idris coordinates alongside Dele Alake, Bayo Onanuga and Lanre Issa-Onilu, with deputy coordinators Tunde Rahman, Sunday Dare, Daniel Bwala and Felix Morka. The council’s spokespersons are led by Alake, with Alwan Hassan, Ayobami Oyalowo, Kemi Asekun-Shittu and Adamu Fanda.
