Toyeeb Gidado wins Kwara United Player of the Month for September

Toyeeb Gidado has been named Kwara United's Player of the Month for September 2026, edging out Aliu Ferinyaro, Abdulsalam Abdulsalam and Philip Ozoro in a fan vote. The award recognises his outstanding performances for the Harmony Boys during the month, during which his contributions helped the team secure crucial results in the Nigeria Premier Football League. Gidado will aim to build on this honour when Kwara United faces Barau FC in their next league fixture, scheduled to take place in Kano. The announcement was made on October 18, 2026 by sports writer Taiwo Adesanya. Fans selected the winner through an online poll, highlighting Gidado's consistency and impact on the pitch. His form has been a key factor in Kwara United's push for a better league standing this season. As the Harmony Boys prepare for the Kano encounter, Gidado’s recent accolade adds motivation to maintain his high level of play and help the team secure vital points on the road. Will this recognition push Gidado to deliver even more match‑winning performances, or will opponents adjust their tactics to neutralise his influence in the upcoming clash?
