The victims were identified as Hadiza Sabo Warrah, a councillor representing Warrah Ward; Sahabi Alheri, councillor representing Birnin Yauri Ward in Ngaski Local Government Area; and Abubakar Sadiq, Senior Special Assistant to the Kebbi State Governor on social media. According to a statement issued by the Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to the governor, Yahaya Sarki, the incident occurred when the victims were struck by a moving vehicle while attempting to cross the road. Reacting to the development, Kebbi State Governor, Nasir Idris, expressed shock over the incident and extended his condolences to the families of the deceased. The governor described their deaths as a significant loss to the state, noting that their contributions to the development of Kebbi would be greatly missed. He also prayed for the forgiveness of their sins and for Allah to grant them eternal rest.
