The development was contained in a post shared on X by security analyst, Zagazola Makama. Security sources said he is believed to have been collaborating with ISWAP/JAS fighters operating around the Damboa axis. During initial questioning, the suspect reportedly claimed he was part of a hybrid force and had earlier surrendered as a repentant terrorist. However, he later admitted that he has been involved in supplying ammunition to terrorist groups. “He confessed to being involved in the sale of ammunition to terrorist elements at the Timbuktu Triangle through an accomplice identified as Konto Fatima,” Makama said. He added that the accomplice is believed to be living at Aburi IDP camp. The suspect is currently in military custody where further investigation is ongoing.
