The quick intervention by troops helped to stabilise the situation and protect both the suspect and security personnel,” the source said. During the operation, police officers reportedly fired tear gas to disperse the crowd. “Minimal force was used to disperse the crowd, but unfortunately one individual was injured. The victim has since been taken to a medical facility and is receiving treatment,” another source disclosed. Authorities confirmed that calm has been restored in the area. “Troops are still on ground to ensure the situation remains under control and to reassure residents of their safety,” the source added.
